Aims and Scope

Mission
The Journal of Marriage and Family Studies (JMFS)  seeks to advance scientific understanding of marriage and family relationships through the publication of rigorous, interdisciplinary research and to foster evidence-based dialogue among scholars, clinicians, and policymakers.

Objectives

  1. To publish high-quality original and review papers related to marriage and family life.
  2. To strengthen the link between family research, family therapy, and applied practice.
  3. To encourage intercultural and comparative perspectives on marriage and family.
  4. To contribute to evidence-based policy and intervention in family well-being.

Scope
JMFS welcomes manuscripts that address topics such as:

  • Marital formation, satisfaction, and stability
  • Couple communication, intimacy, and emotional regulation
  • Conflict management and problem-solving within relationships
  • Remarriage, stepfamilies, blended and other family structures
  • Intercultural, interfaith, and interethnic marriages
  • Parenting and intergenerational relationships
  • Gender roles and family policy
  • Systemic and structural family therapy models
  • Family resilience, stress, and coping strategies
  • Family well-being and quality of life across the life cycle
